What qualifies as a group booking?

A group booking is for six or more travelers booking the same safari package together. Discounts and special rates apply based on the group size.


Do group bookings get discounts?

Yes! Discounts vary by package:
6–10 travelers: 5–7% discount
11+ travelers: 10–12% discount


How much deposit is required for group bookings?

Deposits range from 25% to 50% per person, depending on the package. Gorilla trekking safaris require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure permits.


When is the final payment due?

Final payments are due 30–75 days before departure, depending on the package.


What is the cancellation policy for group bookings?

Cancellation policies vary by package but generally follow this structure:
60+ days before departure: 75–100% refund (excluding deposit)
30–59 days: 40–50% refund
Less than 30 days: Non-refundable
For gorilla trekking safaris, permits are non-refundable once booked.


Can we change or reschedule our booking?

Yes, rescheduling is allowed for most safaris up to 30–60 days before departure, subject to availability. Gorilla trekking permits, however, are non-transferable.


What happens if a group member cancels?

If a group member cancels, the group discount may be adjusted based on the remaining travelers. If the minimum group size is not met, regular pricing may apply.


Can we customize our group safari itinerary?

Yes! Private groups can customize their itinerary, including additional activities, lodging upgrades, and extended stays.


Do you offer family-friendly group safaris?

Yes! Our Family & Group Safari is designed for multi-generational travelers, with kid-friendly lodges and flexible activities.

Are there any age restrictions for gorilla trekking safaris?

Yes, gorilla trekking is only available to travelers aged 15 years and older due to the physical demands and conservation requirements.


What is included in the gorilla trekking experience?

The gorilla trekking permit includes:

  • A guided trek through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
  • An hour of interaction with the gorillas in their natural habitat
  • Entry fees to the park
  • Gorilla permit (non-refundable once issued)
  • Note that trekking can be physically demanding, and it’s recommended that travelers are in good health.
Can we combine Uganda and Rwanda safari packages for our group?

Yes, we offer cross-border safaris that include both Uganda and Rwanda, such as our Ultimate Uganda & Rwanda Safari. You’ll visit both countries for gorilla trekking, game drives, and more.


Do you offer safari tours in other parks like Murchison Falls and Kidepo Valley?

What wildlife can we see during the game drives?

In addition to gorillas, expect to see a wide range of wildlife, including:

How do I secure my group’s booking?

To secure your group’s booking, a deposit is required. The amount varies by package, but typically it is 25% to 50% per person. For gorilla trekking, 50% of the total cost is required to secure your permit.


Can group members pay individually?
Yes! Each group member can make their own payment, but the deposit and final balance must be paid in full by the due date to ensure the booking is confirmed.


What if a group member needs to cancel or change their travel dates?
If a group member needs to cancel or reschedule, the group discount may be adjusted based on the number of remaining travelers. In the case of cancellation, the group may have to meet the minimum number of participants to retain discounts.


What happens if my group is larger than expected?
If your group grows larger than expected, we will do our best to accommodate additional members. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can confirm availability and adjust your pricing and accommodations accordingly.


Is there a minimum number of people required for a group booking?
Yes, our group booking packages typically require a minimum of 6 travelers. If your group is smaller, please contact us for custom pricing or options for private bookings.


Can I make special requests for our group, such as dietary requirements or special activities?
Yes, we can accommodate special requests like vegetarian or gluten-free meals, celebration arrangements, or private events. Just inform us ahead of time, and we will tailor the safari experience to meet your needs.


Do I need travel insurance for a group booking?
Yes, it’s highly recommended that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, or trip disruptions.
